New Book Coming Soon

It is 190 years since the appointment of Robert Marnock as the designer and curator of the Gardens in 1834. 2024 has also marked the 40th anniversary of the Friends of the Botanical Gardens (FOBS) and in recognition of these auspicious dates, FOBS Historian Alison Hunter has written a new book. Sheffield Botanical Gardens: A Haven for Pleasure and Learning will be published this December. It is essentially the story of the Gardens, features almost 200 illustrations and pays tribute to the many people who have actively supported this beautiful place.
