NEW: Trisha Kohn ‘Where did they come from? A look at the origins of some garden plants’ Lecture

In place of the lecture by Advolly Richmond, which has been postponed due to illness, we are pleased to welcome Trisha Kohn to our lecture programme. Trisha will give an introduction to the origins of some of our garden plants, looking at the history of the introduction of plants in general, featuring mostly ones that are grown outdoors.

Trisha is one of the Friends of the Botanical Gardens expert propagators and, with husband Peter, created the acclaimed garden at Kerrachar in NW Scotland, before returning to Sheffield. Both Trisha and Peter spend many hours propagating and caring for the young plants in the Gardens nursery and have created the new bed of South African plants, grown from seed.
