Lea Gardens Long Lane, near Matlock DE4 5GH
Self drive £7pp
Lea Gardens, specialist growers of rhododendrons and azaleas, with teashop for refreshments and lunch. There is ample free parking, with parking for disabled visitors.
The garden covers approximately 3.5 acres, situated within a woodland area, fully accessible allowing visitors to see 500 or so varieties of plants. The flowering of the rhododendrons and azaleas is of course weather dependent, but the best time to see them is April - May, so our visit should be ‘just right’!
There will be plenty of time to wander the gardens and enjoy lunch in the teashop, with the possibility of a purchase or two before we head back.
