Jimi Blake ‘A Beautiful Obsession - a plantsman’s journey in his own garden’ Lecture

Jimi Blake trained in the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin as a horticulturist and was subsequently appointed Head Gardener at Airfield House in Dundrum, Dublin. He resuscitated a large Victorian garden to its former glory enabling the public to rediscover and enjoy a lost gem.

‘A Beautiful Obsession’ recounts the creation of Hunting Brook Gardens - five acres of amazing botanical herbaceous gardens and fifteen acres of wonderful woodland gardens and valley in County Wicklow, Ireland. Jimi will take you on a breathtaking journey through the newest and most exciting plants in his collection in Hunting Brook and from his travels to other gardens and nurseries. He will share with you how he incorporates these choice plants into his planting schemes - be prepared for your plant wish list to explode!
